Here's a couple items I'll bet you didn't know about Baker. That first year, 1949-'50, at least 90% of the occupants were from our class; we had first choice. I think it was called the Senior Dorm. It became Baker after Dean Baker died in a plane crash in the summer of 1950. That first year the staff entered our rooms every day to sweep the floor, empty the waste basket AND make the bed!!
